DESCRIPTION:
A tough wrinkled surface that occurs when the paint forms a "skin”.
CAUSE:
• Applied too thick paint (more likely when using alkyd paints)
• Painting on extremely hot or moist heat, which causes the paint film to dry faster at the top than at the support
• Exposing uncured paint to too high humidity levels
• Application of paint incompatible with the paint that was originally applied
SOLUTION:
When applying paint the recommended coat thickness should be observed. When applied in too thick coat the paint tends to wrinkle. Wrinkled surface must be scraped and polished. Environment temperature should be 15-30 Celsius degrees when applying the paints.
To avoid this problem we recommend fast drying products anti-corrosive primer EVRIKA and enamel EVRIKA.
