DESCRIPTION:
The development of yellowish traces in the aged paint most often seen on dry white paint or transparent lacquer.
CAUSES:
• Oxidation of alkyd paints and varnishes
• Heat from ovens, radiators
SOLUTION:
Emulsified paints do not tend to yellow, either do varnishes. Alkyd paints due to their hardening mechanism tend to yellow, especially in areas exposed to sunlight. There is special paint for radiators which is heat resistant and does not become yellow after hot heat. Beware, do not take a normal paint at high temperatures, except that it will become yellow it will also cause unpleasant odors.
